Marshall Showcases Modified Series, Studio 900 & Overdrive Pedals at NAMM 2025

The iconic audio brand, Marshall, returned to the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) tradeshow this week to unveil three new products: Modified Series, Studio 900, and Overdrive Pedals. Designed to elevate the sounds of guitarists worldwide, these new offerings bring contemporary advancements to the timeless tones that have shaped music for decades.

MODIFIED: AMPLIFYING LEGENDS

The Modified series features the JCM800 Modified and 1959 Modified. The series marks a bold new chapter for Marshall, as it introduces factory-modified versions of two of the brand’s most iconic amplifiers, all meticulously crafted at Marshall’s Milton Keynes, UK factory.

For decades, Marshall has been enhancing amps for their artists. Now, they’re thrilled to offer fans the chance to own these specially modified Marshalls. This innovative move reimagines the iconic JCM800 and 1959 models with modern upgrades, delivering guitarists exceptional versatility and capabilities that surpass the originals.

With the Modified series, Marshall elevates this tradition to new heights, offering players the ultimate factory-modified amps that embody both the legacy and future of rock. The 1959 Modified provides overdrive at manageable volumes, while the JCM800 Modified delivers heavier distortion with a tighter sound, ideal for rock and metal.

STUDIO 900: COMPACT AND ICONIC

The Studio 900 series, including the Studio 900 Head and Studio 900 Combo, brings the iconic JCM900 sound into a smaller, more practical design. Originally released in the ‘90s, the JCM900 became a favorite of bands across genres like indie, rock, punk, and metal, and artists such as Zach Blair & Tim Mcllrath (Rise Against), Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day), Dave Navarro, John 5 and Noel Gallagher.

The new Studio 900 delivers the same legendary tone in a compact, gig-friendly form. With features like switchable channels, real spring reverb, and power attenuation with three levels, the Studio 900 offers unparalleled versatility. It’s ideal for home studios, smaller venues, or situations where precise volume control and adaptability are needed.

OVERDRIVE PEDALS: THE MARSHALL SOUND IN A COMPACT FORM

The Overdrive Pedals Collection takes Marshall’s most iconic amps, the 1959, DSL, JCM800, JCM900, and JVM, and recreates their legendary tones in a compact, pedalboard-friendly format. Crafted with analog circuitry, true bypass, and the high-quality construction Marshall is renowned for, these pedals bring the power and versatility of classic Marshall amps to any stage or practice session.

The Studio 900 and Pedal collections are now available at select retailers and the Pedal collection is now also available on Marshall.com. The Modified series will be available in Q3 at select retailers, with pre-orders open today.
