This year was LG’s first time to exhibit during SXSW and they kicked it off with a bang! The LG Inspiration Gallery featured LG technologies that consisted of the LG SIGNATURE OLED TV R, a series of new AI robots, smart lighting solutions, LG’s first connected ice cream maker and the new LG HomeBrew capsule-based craft beer maker. While attending SXSW attendees had the chance to interact with their newest technology throughout the gallery. Our experience of the different exhibits at the LG Inspiration Gallery during SXSW 2019 is below.
SIGNATURE OLED TV R
SIGNATURE OLED TV R is the world’s first rollable TV with a 65-inch 4K Ultra HD flexible display that resembles a minimalist sculpture when hidden in the low-profile console cabinet in Zero View mode. In Full View
To see the SIGNATURE OLED TV R live in both modes was AMAZING! The image on the display was so crystal clear and it was interesting to watch it go between Full and Zero View Mode effortlessly.

LG CLOi
There were various models of the LG CLOi AI robot line was showcased at SXSW. The LG CLOi AI robots on displayed we interacted with included Carebot, SocialBot, Matebot and Gesturebot.
LG CLOi Carebots
The CLOi Carebots concepts are being shown for the first time with robots that recognize your emotional state and can express a variety of feelings.
The Carebots express four major emotions include joy, peace, sadness and anger as you can see in the two videos.
LG CLOi Socialbot
The LG CLOi Socialbot are robots that recognize space, objects and can communicate with users and understand who the user is, what kind of gestures the user is making and what is a user’s emotional state.
LG CLOi Matebot
The LG CLOi Matebot uses its arms to perform functions and uses direct eye to eye contact to communicate with the user. It also has two display methods, pad or projector.
LG CLOi Gesturebot
The LG CLOi Gesturebot is designed to communicate with the robot via hand gestures to replace or emphasize a word, pointing to object or describe a different object.
LG CLOi Home AI Platform
The LG CLOi Home AI Platform gives robots new interfaces that simplify the smart home’s IoT hub. It’s a smart assistant, has voice and smart appliance interaction, keeps an eye on the home and many other features.

Using the
LG TIME + SPACE
A wall clock named TIME + SPACE that not only tells the time but also provides useful information regarding weather updates and scheduling information. It looked neat just not something for a home and more so for an office setting, in my opinion.
LG SHINE Swarovski Wireless Earphones
SHINE Swarovski Wireless Earphones earring-shaped wireless earphones which deliver excellent sound and can be worn as jewelry. Words doesn’t describe how gorgeous these SHINE Swarovski Wireless Earphones in person. The Swarovski crystals on the earphones were mesmerizing!
LG “Snowwhite:” The Prototype Personal Ice Cream Maker
The LG “Snowwhite” personal ice cream maker uses specialized capsules that create delicious flavors and creamy textures from traditional ice creams to sorbets to gelatos, even frozen yogurts. Since it’s a prototype I didn’t get a demo of it but intrigued on the concept.
LG HomeBrew
The LG HomeBrew is a home brewing system that uses capsule-based pods that allows consumers to create their own homemade craft beer, technology stemming from the in-depth work undertaken at LG NBC.
During the last part of the LG Inspiration Gallery we got to enjoy beer while hanging out with CLOi. While sipping beer, the last LG technology I got to toy with was this DJ exhibit which I was not as successful at but I tried!
I truly enjoyed my LG experience at their Inspiration Gallery and probably one of the companies I spent the most time with learning about all their new technology.
